WAPC
Meditation Circle
The Meditation Circle began meeting in person in 2019 with a small group of WAPC members and friends. After Covid hit, the group moved to Zoom where it has met nearly every Wednesday afternoon at 4 pm. The format has evolved and the number of persons participating has ebbed and flowed. Besides WAPC members, participants include persons from variety of local churches, and community members at-large. Each session begins with the lighting of a candle followed by 20 minutes of meditation and silence. The group is reconvened and is followed by a discussion of a wide range of books and treatises on religion and spiritual topics. The group is currently finishing a discussion of How I Found God in Everyone and Everywhere. On March 12, they will begin discussing the next book Ordinary Mysticism by Mirabai Starr. The group still meets on Zoom every Wednesday with a few exceptions, although they have begun to meet in-person the first Wednesday of each month in the Heritage Room at WAPC. You are welcome to participate and join us. Please notify the church office so you can be placed on the email list to receive the Zoom invitation and your name will be passed along to the current convener of the group, Rev. Lee Clements.
